Joel Peckham is a scholar, essayist and poet who has published a book of essays, two books of poetry, and two chapbooks His work has appeared in many literary and academic journals including The Southern Review, Prairie Schooner, The Black Warrior Review, Riverteeth, The North American Review and American Literature Currently he is an Assistant Professor of Regional Literature and Creative Writing at Marshall University.

Truly Amazing

God's Bicycle is a pilgrimage. With a keen sense of the humanity within each reader, Joel has managed to encapsulate the distilled essence of our existence as fellow travelers along life's road. He delivers the complex nature of our relationships with strangers, colleagues, acquaintances, loved ones and the divine is a way that is pure in their interconnectedness and interdependence. Much like his other works, such as Resisting Elegy and Why Not Take All of Me, God's Bicycle is honest, open and unfettered by assumption. It is a collection you will pick up again and again, and like any great poet's work, you will find different meanings each time. Truly a work of art worthy of praise.
